How do parents cope with the death of an adult child? The loss is different from the loss of a spouse, a parent, or a very young child. This therapy group will focus on ways to help parents who are grieving for this very specific loss – one that for many is extremely difficult to understand and accept. The group will offer support, validation, empathy and tools to help participants come to terms with their tremendous loss. Journaling, photos and correspondence can be used as an aid to talk about your loved one and discover what participants need to in order to heal.
Location: 180 North Michigan Avenue, Chicago, Illinois in the 18th floor Conference Room Fee: The cost is $50 per session for six sessions. Insurance may cover a portion of the cost. Urban Balance will check your benefits & submit claims for your reimbursement. Barbara Noonan,
