Financial Wellness for Women

This workshop is for women who want to feel more positive about managing money and experience financial empowerment. Handling finances is an important aspect of self-care both in terms of harm reduction (debt management) and planning for the future (saving and investing). This workshop is for all women: those who have financial challenges and those who want to improve already healthy habits.

This workshop addresses the following:
• Become aware of how early life experiences impacted your financial style
• Understand the power of fear, anxiety, feeling overwhelmed, shame, and denial
• Assess for compulsive and impulsive financial behaviors
• Discover emotional motivations for spending and saving
• Analyze how being single or in a partnership impacts your financial behaviors
• Understand the importance of being organized and having a system
• Recognize the need for a plan with structure and achievable goals
• Become aware of the benefits of accountability, support and professional guidance
• Explore the special financial needs and challenges of women
• Learn 10 strategies to help you secure your financial future

Dates/Time: Monday, May 1, 2006 from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. Refreshments will be served.
Location: 180 North Michigan Avenue, Suite 1845 Chicago, Illinois
Fee: $25 to attend workshop - free financial consultation offered to all participants.
