Being a Good Mom During Bipolar Episodes

Q: Why am I so angry and irritable when I have an episode? I can't even stand to hear the sound of my children’s voices, I just want everyone to stop talking and leave me alone. It's really putting a strain on my relationship with my children. I love them and want to be more loving, but sometimes everything they do drives me crazy, and I lash out verbally then apologize later for my outburst and mean words. Please help and give me some suggestions on how to deal with this problem.
