Many people deal with claustrophobia, a fear of being trapped in a closed space that triggers an anxiety response. Many people experience symptoms of claustrophobia on airplanes, in elevators or in a crowded room or theatre. Cognitive therapy has been shown to be extremely effective in reducing anxiety related to claustrophobia.
