Last Friday 4 Urban Balance staff therapists were among Clinical Supervisors being honored for their contributions to the therapists-in-training in the Masters of Counseling Psychology Program at The Family Institute. The Training Directors, Faculty, Clinical Supervisors and students enjoyed time to reconnect with colleagues and a luncheon at Maggiano’s Restaurant. The colloquium also featured a presentation by Michelle Muratori, PhD entitled, “Best Practices in Clinical Supervision”.
UB therapists, Tina Cortez, Julie Rooney, and Mariko Wiseberg were each recognized for supervising students at Turning Point, a behavioral healthcare center in Skokie. UB Co-Owner, Joyce Marter was recognized for her work supervising Ben Heinrichs, UB’s first student intern during the 2010-2011 academic year. UB is honored to have four therapists on staff who have been trusted by this renowned training program to supervise its students. Based on the success of its first year hosting a student, the Counseling Psychology Program has selected UB to host two student interns during the 2011-2012 academic year.
