Urban Balance hosted a counselor networking party last Friday for the Illinois Mental Health Counselors Association (IMHCA) at UB's Evanston office.  We were pleased that more than twenty counselors attended the event and we thank them for their participation.  UB's Joyce Marter reviewed the counselor licensure updates made by the Illinois Department of Professional and Financial Regulation (IDFPR) in April, 2011. As Chair of the IMHCA Membership Committee, Joyce reviewed the many benefits of IMHCA benefits, including licensure advocacy, training,, professional regulation, and legislation advocacy.  Information was provided about the Illinois Counseling Association (ICA) 63rd Annual Conference which is November 9-12 in Skokie.   IMHCA will be hosting additional networking parties throughout 2012 and two of them will be hosted at Urban Balance's Chicago office.
