Sliding-Fee Premarital, Pre-Baby & Couples Counseling in Chicago & Evanston
UB is proud to offer sliding fee counseling services to couples with UB's therapists-in-training.  Rebecca Zalman & Jennifer Nudell are clinical interns from Northwestern University's Masters of Counseling Psychology Program.  The student interns are training at The Family Institute, a renown training facility for marital and family therapists.  Rebecca and Jennifer each have office hours at UB's downtown Chicago & Evanston offices.  They are directly supervised by UB owner, Joyce Marter, LCPC.  Sliding fee services are based on income and dependents and can go as low as $45 per session.

It is the philosophy of Urban Balance that counseling is something healthy, normal and proactive for us all at various points in our lives.  Many people have the false impression that couples therapy is a last resort, when couples are either in crisis or on the verge of breaking up.  Couples therapy can be preventative and help partners successfully navigate significant life transitions, such as getting married or having a baby.  It can also deepen your understanding of yourself and your partner and improve your intimacy, communication and conflict resolution.  A couples therapist is a neutral, objective person who can help you and your partner gain insights, facilitate healing of old wounds, and learn new tools to improve your relationship.
