UB Owner, Joyce Marter, was invited to speak at the annual Career's Night of the Masters of Counseling Psychology Program at Northwestern University.  The masters program is part of The Family Institute, a renown training facility of marital and family therapists.  This is the 16th year Joyce has been asked to serve on the panel of alumni and speak to students and prospective students about her career path and experiences.  There were about 60 attendees and 15 panelists who participated in a lively discussion about the many career opportunities in the field of counseling psychology.  Urban Balance has benefited greatly from the Counseling Psychology program, as UB has hired many graduates over the years and currently hosts two student interns from the training program.  Joyce is invested in mentoring students and giving back to the field in this way.
