On May 21st, ECTV hosted and aired Evanston’s Idol IV fundraiser on Channel 6. Auditions were held from April 23nd to the 30th and those contestants who made it through performed live in front of three judges and a packed audience at King Lab School on May 21st. Local talents included singers, musicians, ventriloquists, stand-up comics, dancers, magicians, performance artists and poets. But in the end, gospel singer Evonda Thomas went home the winner. Proceeds from the event went to support ECTV broadcasting.
