UB was approached by Investing in Communities, an organization that identifies socially responsible businesses that can make a difference by empowering them to fund their favorite nonprofits through their real estate transactions.  The mission of IIC is to recognize for-profit businesses that are doing good and to enable them to spread that goodness to non-profits.  UB was recognized for making mental healthcare accessible and affordable by accepting most insurance and being in-network with most plans.  This mission reduces the hourly rate that UB collects per session, but supports UB's core value that counseling is something healthy, normal and proactive that should be a regular part of healthcare, like going to the dentist or the doctor. UB looks forward to utilizing IIC when expanding offices or renewing leases.
