Lori Hall, LCSW has been providing professional, confidential counseling services to individuals, couples and families since 2001. Her mission is to give her clients the tools they need to improve their relationships and better reach their goals. This mission first led her to found her own successful practice, then to co-found Urban Balance, LLC, where she continues to grow the counseling practice into new locations. Her therapeutic style is interactive and goal oriented. She uses a client-centered approach that starts by identifying client strengths. She specializes in relationship issues, low self-esteem, depression, anxiety and life transitions. Lori is an expert in couples counseling. Previously Lori has worked for a national Employee Assistance Program where she provided HR management consultation. Lori completed her undergraduate studies at DePaul University, and earned a Masters of Social Work at Loyola University. Lori has been featured in Crain's Chicago Business and served as a psychological expert on WGN live morning radio. Lori handles the hiring, staff development and clinical and operational policies and procedures for Urban Balance. Lori oversees UB billing and insurance issues and provides quality assurance for the practice. Lori also maintains a full clinical caseload.

Joyce Marter has been in private practice as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) since 1998 and specializes in treating mood disorders, anxiety, self-esteem concerns, relationship issues, infertility and addiction. She has extensive experience providing psychotherapy for individuals, couples and groups coping with mental health issues, relationship challenges and chemical dependency. Her expertise extends to the workplace where Joyce provides organizational development services, executive coaching, wellness seminars and training services. Joyce was selected by Northwestern University as a supervisor for Master's level therapists-in-training. She graduated from The Ohio State University with Honors and earned a Masters of Arts in Counseling Psychology from Northwestern University. Joyce interned at The Family Institute, a renowned training facility for marital and family therapy. She was awarded Distinguished Alumni of the Year by the Masters in Counseling Psychology Program at Northwestern University in 2008. Joyce has extensive public speaking experience and has been quoted in Crain's Chicago Business and Red Eye Chicago, and was interviewed as a psychological expert by WGN CLTV and ABC's Live Well HD Network. |
